VBS 2015!

VBS stands for Vacation Bible School and it’s one of my favorite things we do at Community Church of Hokah. Why? Because it is so fun and also very, very important.

Why is it fun? Well, there’s singing, crafts and games, for starters. Then, for our story time, we get to really see the stories through paintings and chalk talks, and sometimes we get extra help from some friends – puppets!

Why is it important? We really have a lot of fun, that’s for sure, but what makes it so important is that we don’t just sing and tell stories for entertainment, but to take this special week to let the children know who Jesus is, how much He loves them and what He did for them, and to invite them to follow Him.  There are two paths and two destinies and it’s the most important choice that we all must make.

We also invite the families to come out on Wednesday night for an Ice Cream Social.

This year the dates are August 10-14th, from 8:45 to 11:30 am, with the Ice Cream Social on Wednesday, August 12th beginning at 6:30.
